I also used to put things off “for later”…
It took me a long time to decide to leave a dysfunctional relationship. To close the door behind it. To leave a job that was draining me. I questioned my feelings: Are they even “justified”? Am I “allowed” to feel that way? I made my choices based on what seemed "right" and "logical" from others’ perspectives. Not mine.
I used to be a people pleaser, always seeking approval and confirmation from outside, afraid to make my own decisions—because I simply didn't believe in myself. Boundaries? I didn’t have any. I was well aware of how to set them properly. But I was afraid of what might happen if I did.
Looking back, I don't regret a single step I took. Only the time I lost waiting.
And that's why I believe that coaching is worth it––when you approach it as a safe space to pause, figure out your direction, and start taking action.
What led me to coaching?
Perhaps the same thing that led you here! I wanted to move forward. I was looking for ways to evolve in my professional and personal life, to break old patterns. At the same time, I craved more freedom, independence, and, above all, meaningful work with added value.
Growth can be cool, but seeing others grow is even better.
Who am I, exactly?
A Slovak who found her home in Prague. I enjoy city life as well as escapes to the mountains, where my Hungarian pointer, Freya, and I go to hike and recharge. I won’t say “no” to a cup of drip coffee, spaghetti carbonara, or a glass of good prosecco. Sometimes I’ll delve into Scandinavian crime fiction, other days it's the good old Netflix binge––no regrets!
My values in life and coaching definitely overlap. Fairness, sincerity, and authenticity. But also: humanity, kindness, understanding, a respectful attitude towards others, taking into account their capacities and capabilities. And on top of all that, a big slice of humour.
Why coaching with me?
I am a certified coach who continues to develop professionally:
- I have been certified by the Empowerment Institute, which is accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, as well as the ICF (International Coach Federation).
- My next steps include obtaining a LVL1 certification and the ACC (Associate Certified Coach) title, which is the "gold standard" of coaching.
- I attend regular mentoring sessions for further self-development.
- I am currently enrolled in the Empowerment Institute's advanced program, Alumni.
During my 15 years in marketing, I have built up a range of skills that I now apply in my work as a coach:
- Empathy – I used to put myself in the target audience’s shoes. Now I can do the same for you.
- Focus on the client – I always leave my ego at the door.
- Improvisation – no matter what happens, I’ll come up with a prompt and creative response.
- Analytical thinking – I can quickly connect the dots and understand the situation at hand.
